As the only female PADI Course Directors in Belize, Patricia has dedicated her career to developing confident, highly skilled dive professionals while upholding the highest standards of safety, education, and environmental responsibility.
In 2000, Patricia founded Splash Dive Center in Placencia, Belize. What began as a local dive operation has grown into one of the country’s most respected PADI IDC, known internationally for its professionalism, quality training, and commitment to the Belize Barrier Reef.
Today, Patricia continues to mentor the next generation of instructors by hosting three PADI Instructor Development Courses (IDCs) each year, welcoming candidates from around the world who want to become instructors in a real-world, reef-based environment.

Upcoming PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) Dates – 2026

Each IDC fully prepares candidates for the PADI Instructor Examination (IE) and covers teaching presentations, confined water skills, open water evaluations, standards, and dive theory.
