Explore a part of picturesque Placencia that you don’t see while driving or walking – cruise the canals leading to the lagoon and then enjoy snacks and wine at anchor on the lagoon while watching the sunset over the Maya Mountains!
Leave from Splash Dive Center’s marina site at 4:30 pm and take the inner channel that leads through the mangroves to the canals and the residential sections of Placencia and where Placencians keep their boats. You might even spot a lot on one of the little islands on the lagoon side of Placencia to build your Caribbean dream home! Watch for manatees and tropical birds – the evening is a great time for spotting wildlife!
Relax and experience the magic of the sun setting over the Maya Mountains while enjoying a choice of appetizing snacks with a glass or two of wine and a little music. After dinner, cruise back through the mangroves and canals for a charming after-dark perspective of Placencia from the water. Arrive back at Splash Dive Center at around 8:00 pm.
