Discover Scuba Diving in Placencia with PADI
Experience the underwater world with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program! While this isn’t a certification course, it’s the perfect way to try scuba diving for the first time under the guidance of a PADI-certified Instructor or Dive Master. You can repeat the experience as often as you like!

What to Expect from Your Discover Scuba Experience

Start your scuba adventure in the shallow, clear waters of a beautiful Belizean caye, where your instructor will introduce you to the essential skills you’ll need to feel comfortable and confident underwater.

Once you’re comfortable with the basics, your instructor will guide you on a short, easy dive in the calm, clear waters near the caye. Experience the excitement of breathing underwater and discover Belize’s amazing marine life firsthand.
- After a delicious lunch on the caye, it’s time for your first boat dive. Accompanied closely by your instructor, discover the excitement of exploring Belize’s underwater world at a site chosen for your experience and the day’s conditions.

This experience is open to anyone 10 years or older, provided you have no adverse medical conditions. You’ll need to complete a Medical Questionnaire before diving, and if you answer “yes” to any questions, you may need to have the form signed by a doctor.
