TROLLING, SPIN CAST AND BOTTOM FISHING IN BELIZE

Belize has it all for fishing in Belize! It has the longest barrier reef in the northern and western hemispheres. Additionally, there are hundreds of cayes, mangroves, sandy flats, rivers, and streams. Furthermore, you can spend a half day, a full day, or several days exploring coastal and lagoon spin casting and trolling.

The picturesque village of Placencia started life as a fishing village. Moreover, it has grown into a quaint tourist destination with world-class diving and snorkeling. Additionally, it offers inland adventure and cultural tours with something for everyone.

Our guides are all local. They grew up in Placencia learning the secrets of the seas, lagoons, and rivers from their fisherman fathers. Furthermore, they have years of experience fishing in Belize and hold licensed tour guide credentials. Additionally, licensed guides complete training covering CPR, first-aid, and reef ecology. Moreover, this program protects the environment and ensures quality service for all visitors.

Our standard boat is a 23-foot skiff with a canopy.

Bottom Fishing and Trolling in Belize

New to fishing in Belize or haven’t fished in a long time? No problem! Our guides can give you a quick course in spin casting, jigging, or trolling. Furthermore, you will be fishing in less than an hour. Don’t have equipment? No problem — our guides have gear perfectly suited to local conditions. Additionally, water is included in the price.

Bottom fishing is a great way to introduce children to saltwater fishing. In fact, it is usually the busiest type of fishing on our tours. First, your guide catches bait with a cast net. Then you head to a favorite spot for bottom fishing with live bait. Moreover, you can catch snapper and grouper by bottom fishing. Additionally, jack, mackerel, barracuda, and shark are common catches on troll lines inside the reef.

Tired of bottom fishing? Take some time to do some trolling. What a way to explore the coastline of Belize and find out where the fish are!
