Pompion Caye is a private island located just inside the Belize Barrier Reef with have an abundance of aquatic life, fish stocks, coral reef biodiversity and healthy corals. Pompion is located about 20 miles east of Placencia and south of Silk Cayes.
Trip Plan
Arrive at Splash Dive Center by 08:30 to get fitted out with snorkel gear before departing for Pompion at 09:00 am for the 40 to 60 minute boat ride to Pompion. Snorkel vests are available. After a briefing by your licensed snorkel guide, he will lead to tour of the abundant and varied coral and to meet the local residents. After a genuine Belize style lunch on the caye, continue your exploration of our underwater world. If you have not snorkeled before, no problem. Our guides are happy to show you the ins and outs of snorkeling and show you the coral and those who inhabit it. Critters include spotted drum, huge lobsters, cleaner shrimp, arrow crabs, snapper, barracuda and more varieties of reef fish than you can count.
