Splash Dive Center

For our first blog, we are pleased to introduce Gary Hunt. Gary is a very special guy who comes to dive and do inland tours with Splash Dive Center in Placencia Belize every year. A lot of special people do that, but Gary is extra special because he founded a group called Bookbag Santa. Gary brought a group of 20 good hearted people to Placencia in Belize, each carrying 100 pounds of school supplies to donate for the kids in three schools in Belize. That is a whopping 2000 pounds of school supplies - one ton!!!!!

Gary always brings a musician. For the 2010 trip, Ron Bertrand who lived in Belize for 2 years entertained the kids in the schools, the group in the bars and restaurants and the scuba divers and snorkelers on the Splash dive and snorkel trips.
